This book from a former Marine and hospice Chaplain helps readers understand the question, Why today’s youth have a lack of Biblical Knowledge. The author, Dr. Domino C. Gilley, explores this topic from a research perspective that considers many different factors such as demographics, geography, economics and parental input and influence. The general goal of the book is to bring insight and solutions that keep our children, the next generation, and the focus of our future as a Bible believing Christian community that understands the importance of the Gospel.

Basing his book on his research paper for his doctorate in ministry, this book seeks to “…share some information our churches need today for children to live to their fullest potential by adding the home, the church, and the community as a firm foundation in teaching our children how to use the Word of God in everyday life and how to live His word through the entirety of their lives.” With the hope of instilling faith in God to our youth of today, bringing fresh revelation to our youth, the author additionally states, “There is no life without Him.” Thus, this book instills hope and encouragement to study and know the Word of God.

Each chapter encompasses developing a context for the application of ministry within the project. Developing an overall ministry development plan, his book takes readers through case studies, investigation, and analysis of the problem and why the youth of today lack Biblical knowledge. Weaving the duties of pastors and the church into community, he looks at how the church can infuse ministry to our youth bringing a renewal of faith in God. This approach is based on preaching and teaching the Scriptures, alongside other factors involving our youth. It is the author’s hopes that the youth of today be lifted up and educated in the Word of God, so that faith in God would be a firm foundation for them in the future. The author strongly believes that children are our future.

A compassionate read to help pastors, churches, and the community to keep the next generation of youth strong in the Word of God and redirect them back into having and living a life of faith in God.
