An incredible mission and ministry moving forward the Gospel in amazing ways! ~ CBM Christian Book Reviews
Bruce Snavely writes a fascinating book, one that is apostolic in nature. He expounds on the GBTF (Global Baptist Training Foundation) that follows Apostle Paul’s instructions to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1-7. Captivating and biblically sound, this read is a clarion call for those around the globe who seek the Great Commission. The admonishment in Scripture to “Go” is encompassed by many entanglements that sometimes hinder great evangelism. Speaking to the 21st Century church, Bruce Snavely, writes to encourage and teach the Great Commission by training up the "nationals” in these countries to carry on the torch of the Great Commission to “Go.” Missions done in this way produces much fruit. This is a comprehensive training manual for all pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and the like to rethink how they are doing missions.
The author presents a model for missions according to Paul’s epistle to Timothy. Insightful, intriguing, and compassionate testimony adds to the book presented by indigenous nationals whose lives have been transformed. Some live in dangerous countries and have chosen to not be named to protect their safety. Presenting an invigorating read for those interested in missions, the author offers such informative chapters as: The Great Commission: The What and How?, What is the Missions of Missions?, Contemporary Missions: Two Key Questions, Why Train the Nationals?, What Has Happened?, Protocols for Change, Epilogue & Conclusion. Practical insight and teaching shed light on how to train nationals, so that they can walk with power and authority of Scripture, alongside key biblical principles encapsulated in this book. This book is not theory, but the testimony also of those indigenous nationals who have been transformed by the training challenge laid forth in this exciting book that displays the fruit of moving the gospel forward.
This book comes highly recommended to challenge all who seek the Great Commission to recalibrate the way missions can be done in the future. A wonderful and exhilarating read!
A book to “…exponentially multiply the gospel into our twenty-first-century world.”
