Some may wonder, what is happening to our world? With wisdom, the author gives answers to help Christians retain their godliness in a world that is full of deception, false doctrines, and false teachers. He takes readers back to the Word of God and reminds us of who we are in Christ, and Who we worship. He encourages readers to be transformed into the image of Christ in a world filled with offense and division. Within this context, he speaks the truth in love using Scripture to exhort believers to run the race well!
In his Epilogue, (which brought tears to my eyes due to his fiery conviction, I might add), he speaks of “Healing the Land.” Thus, this book is a cry for the spiritual healing of our land, starting with the Church first. We have ignored God’s house for too long. It’s time to come back, stand firm, and hold to the Lord and His Word. Again, one might ask, what does that look like? Read the book, as he expands on his answers to counter the cultural pressures for the cause of Christ. He stresses God’s righteousness, admonishes sinful living, advocates a reverential awe of our holy God, being renewed in our mind through the Holy Spirit, and obedience to the Word of God as our foundation for living. He states, “Only those anchored in Jesus will hold their course.”
A highly, yet concise, and biblical read for the times we live in! I would recommend this book to anyone looking to “stand firm” in their faith.
