Many ask in regard to religion, “What is truth?”
The Gospel Truth by Clinton Bezan in his own words offers truth upon the authority of the Bible and faith in Jesus as he states, “In this, my fourth book, I have endeavored to dissect some prominent “Christian” religious dominations, some of which hover around the periphery of the Christian faith, in order to expose their internal theologies and scrutinize the details of their doctrine under the litmus test of scripture.” This is the trajectory of this book, although, the author discusses many things, but mainly strives to bring alignment to the body of Christ through the Word of God. His endeavor is passionate and he calls out to all who call themselves “Christians” to persevere in godliness, in the study of the Bible, holding fast to the truth that binds us to Christ.
Straight and to the point, his analysis states, “Today we are inundated with counterfeit gospels and pastors with their prosperity gospel, grace theology, progressive Christianity, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and more who twist scripture to change the gospel of Christ, only to win false converts whose faith is shallow and weak.” Further stating that these teachings promulgate, “…a pernicious erosion of the truth.”
Yet, many in different denominations teach a “false” gospel that is curated to meet their needs, further lacking in integrity, honesty, and not presenting the “truth of the gospel of Christ”. The author speaks of a great falling away as many preach to “itchy ears”, not rightly dividing the word of truth. Failing to teach the truth of the Gospel that follows the way of faith is in Christ’s resurrection, repentance, and becoming truly born again. The author warns the elect to be on guard against such deception.
The author further boldly states, “True believers must make knowledge of the true gospel and an intimate relationship with Jesus their top priority.”
So, amid a myriad of voices heard on all types of media, the theories, preaching, and teaching that is available, Clinton Bezan, gives readers a clear picture of the TRUTH of the GOSPEL. More than that, he brings to the table so much more, addressing subjects that matter. With a great sigh of relief for many (and perhaps some epiphany moments for some), this book is presented to readers (believers and skeptics alike), to correct the many wrong teachings and doctrines that stem from wrong motives, giving a bird’s eye view of the historical Church that brought about these mass wrong teachings.
However, as daunting as this subject might sound, the author has written a practical book, that offers readers precise Scripture as to what the Gospel of Truth actually is, presenting to readers a firm foundation of faith in Christ and the truth of the Gospel.
He begins in his Preface by addressing the absolute authenticity of the Bible in terms of ancient documents and Jesus’ historicity, as equally authentic. Bezan gives somewhat of a timeline of the four gospels of Luke, Mark, Matthew, and John while documenting the history of certain ancient documents that have also been verified. (This is a little intense reading, but offers a backdrop for his point and also gives interesting facts, such as an encounter with a high priest in Jerusalem with Alexander the Great before he went on to conquer Persia.)

This is a rich book giving insight into the times we are living in along with historical accuracy, put together to equip and steady the saints in the days to come. He further states, “It is time to put on the full armor of God and prepare to defend the faith as a warrior on the day of battle.” His stance is that the hour is late and that we are in the End Times where Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes. Basically, it’s time to get serious folks, now! We can no longer pretend to live in the half-truths of watered-down doctrine, but as believers need to rise up into the Bride of Christ that is called in the Last Days.
This is not only a must-read but an exciting one that dispels confusion and commonly taught doctrines, offering the sanctity and authenticity of the Bible as the “absolute truth and the only moral standard.
Do not be daunted by the intensity of the subject and all the information offered. The Gospel of Truth has been written to encourage, exhort, and teach believers to be strong in the Word and to stand firm, so as not to be deceived in the testing times that are soon to come upon the world and the Church.
