Blending the author’s own life experiences and scripture verses helps readers understand different aspects of Christ’s image in all of us. A short and easy-to-read book, the author writes 14 character attributes that the Bible speaks of should be in our make-up. Love, Strength, Worship, Courage, Forgiveness, Fruitfulness, Creativity, The Holy Spirit, Emotions, Generosity, Thanksgiving, Intelligence, Power and Authority and ending in a Conclusion ~ the author gives hope and encouragement to live according to God’s image, rejoicing in our unique creation as individuals.

Inspiring readers to understand God’s ways versus our ways gives readers hope in their own uniqueness; no one on Earth is exactly alike. This read offers readers a godly way of maturing in these different areas. Each subject challenges readers to consider godly character. Readers will also be able to relate to each subject, as all the subjects are common to the human persona. Additionally, the author gives definitions, such as the definition of “love”, as a verb and noun that gives readers a better perspective on what love can be and may look like in one’s life. As a reflective journey, the author aims for helping readers apply the life-giving Word of God.

More importantly, this book helps readers understand that they are greatly loved by God. The author has done an excellent job of helping readers understand that the way we view ourselves is not necessarily how God views us. Creating the image in Christ in all of us is the theme throughout, and as such, the author gives simplistic understanding by displaying the author’s own experiences, describing how each subject is mirrored through the lens of Scripture.

Filled with compassion and profound insights, teachings, and highlights from the Bible make this book a highly encouraging and recommended read! I also found that reading on each subject with the scripture noted helped me grow and understand myself, focusing on the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

This is a wonderful book to help offer others self-esteem, hope, and encouragement and a great way to inspire spiritual growth. Perhaps, this read may be of interest to those who have turned their back on Christ, as the author relates to emotions that everyone has had in their lifetime.

Note: The cover is truly beautiful if you know what a sunflower has to endure to grow. They can survive in the most barren and hot summers, growing their roots deep, looking for water.
